My passion for nature photography was piqued when I found an online, citizen scientist website called Project Noah (Networked Organisms and Habitats). I was impressed with the vision of bringing nature lovers together with various levels of organism and photography knowledge. I was welcomed by the community and have learned a lot! I am now an ambassador, teacher and editor for the online community with the title of Ranger.
Using my passion and knowledge, I graduated as a Naturalist/Docent where I volunteer at several locations including a local conservation area, an ecological preserve, and with the San Diego Tracking Team. These habitats include Coastal Sage Scrub, Chaparral, Oak Woodland and Riparian communities. I was lucky enough to turn my knowledge into a career as a Director at a nearby Nature Center where I educated the public on our local flora and fauna. I have since changed careers; however, I hope to be able to get back into an educational role. I photograph organisms in situ and try to avoid physical contact; however, some critters just crawl on you and I can't help but smile and take a couple quick photo's before returning them to their original location. I invite you to visit my page to view many more images of wildlife and to meet the online community. To see some of my online and published recognition's, click here. Thank you for visiting my site and any feedback you have. Happy trails! |
